Taste of Life

This is the section of my oh so "deep" blog where I would like to share some falvorful recipes. We could all use a little spice in our lives so what better way to do that than to cook!?!

Chicken Salad - boring title excellent taste!

1 whole roasted chicken
2 cups Light Mayo
1/2 cup Sour Cream
8 Green Onions w/Stems
2 Hidden Valley Dry Ranch Mix

Directions:

Remove all the white meat from the roasted chicken (I use Costco roasted chicken) and chop it up. Put the chopped chicken in a large mixing bowl. Add the mayo and the sour cream and mix well. Chop up the green onions including the stems and add to the bowl. Mix in the dry ranch mix. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Serve cold with artisian bread.

This is a great recipe for parties, I hope you will try it and enjoy it! Let me know what you think!

Escapades of the Soul (part 1)

Life is meant to be lived to the fullest. Each unique individual has certain activities that make them love life. As for me, well my escapades don't center around one thing in particular but rather a variety of adventures. A friend once told me everyone should "fall in love several times a day"; meaning we should fall in love with sights, sounds, feelings, smells, nature, cultures, people, etc... Just relax and let yourself fall in love with the world around you. People are very dynamic individuals and have several sides to their personality that provoke a varitey of exploits.

One of my many escapades is art in its abundant forms. Photography, drawing, scrapbooking, crafting, ect... As of late, my main form of art is photography. I keep a camera near me at all times and as a backup I have my phone. You don't need a $1000.00 camera to take good photos, all you need is a steady hand, a keen eye, and your own unique perception of art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but ultimately its what you like and what you think of your work that matters.
There is an artistic person in each and everyone one of us, to some extent. Yes its true that the artistic side of some people is buried deep down under layers of other interests, but to each their own and do what makes you happy :0)

Life

"Life is like a trail ride, full of ups and downs, but its about the journey and the experience, not the destination." - monique

People are so worried about where they will be in 5, 10, or even 15 years that they forget to live for the moment, to live in the now. We complain when we are children that we want to be adults, we want to grow up and do grown up things. Then when we finally grow up, we spend the rest of our lives longing for the simpler days when we were young and had very few responsibilities. What if we just stop? Just do what makes us happy now not what we think will make us happy how ever many years down the road. Im not saying we as adults can just throw caution to the wind but we need to relax and not take life so serious.

We choose how we will live our lives and if we don't want to be stressed, then don't be, if we want to act like a child and splash through the mud puddle without thought to our nice clean clothes, then do it!

Life is what we make it and we are all traveling towards the same destination, why not make it a lifetime to remember and have some fun!
